On your device search for the Phone app, open it, choose the number that you want to save to your contacts list tap it once and the Send a message button will appear.
On your device search for the Messages app, open it, tap the plus button in order to start a new conversation, choose the recipients, write the message, tap Send(Paper plane icon).
